Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my project take?

Each job is unique and is hard to give a timeline before seeing and planning the job. A more basic sized bathroom, like a hall bath with shower will generally take about 1.5-2 weeks from demo to completion. A more complex or bigger bathroom would obviously take a little longer. A whole main floor or a basement could take around 1-3 months depending on the size and intricacies of the job. You will always be given an approximate timeline and start date and we are pretty good at staying on schedule.

How is my job priced?

Jobs are typically priced on a few different factors, Length of time needed to complete project, what materials we need, complexity of the job, what trades are involved and of course size of the job. We do not like to use a "one size fits all" approach as we believe each customer and each job is unique and comes with its own specific needs.

Do you guys include all finishing material like some other companies?

We tend not to this as we focus on a more custom approach to our work. Things like tiles, flooring, fixtures, etc are very personal choices and the prices can range drastically on these items. We don't like to limit our customers to a certain price range. We also find that most companies who offer finishing products such as tiles and vanities as part of their "package" only offer a select few choices. Oftentimes this will lead to a more "cookie cutter" finished product or mark ups on sub-par items. We prefer to work with the customer on the design and let them choose the look they like. With that said, we have great relationships with some of the top suppliers in the industry across the GTA and send our customers there to speak with our design reps and take advantage of our contractor pricing.

Can I add or subtract things once my job has started?

You sure can, in most cases. We have very good relationships and open communication with our customers. On almost every job, changes get made on the fly. A new idea was thought of, a new design feature, or something else was thought to work better. If it is something new that was not on the original scope of work, there will be an "extras" quote to add in the work, everything will be transparent for you to decide. no surprise invoices at the end. If you are taking something out, as long as the work hasn't been done already then you may receive a credit for the work not being done.

Are you and all of your trades licensed and insured?

Yep, we sure are. Everyone who works in your home is insured and our trades are all fully licensed. We only use guys we trust and who produce high quality work.

I'm a little unsure on the quote I received, can we discuss some more?

Of course we can, we are always happy to discuss and go over our quotes with you. We also encourage people to get a couple of different quotes to get a better understanding of market rates and averages. There will always be companies that are more and less expensive. Go with who you are most comfortable with doing the work and being in your home. It has been the case in the past where customers have expressed to us that another company was less expensive. When asked to see their quotes, there are usually some things that are different between the two. Details not included or different items. Always feel free to discuss with us and ask questions so that you feel comfortable and stay in the know.
